Disability Inclusion Plans - course details

The NSW Disability Inclusion Act 2014 requires NSW government departments, local councils and other public authorities to develop and implement a Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) that is consistent with the State Disability Inclusion Plan. A core requriement of the Act is that DIAPs must be based on consultations with people with disability, and must be reviewed in consultation with people with disability. This course gives a practical step by step guide on how to develop a meaningful and workable DIAP. The course focuses on the expertise needed to build inclusion and offers the benefit of the trainer's more than two decades of experience in the sector, including developing DIAPs for councils.
